THE BUTLER FOUNDATION, LTD

The Scholarship Fund

At The Butler Foundation Ltd., we believe that education opens the door to better health and stronger communities. Our Scholarship Fund helps support students who want to make a difference by fighting asthma and heart disease—two health issues that impact millions of people.

Each year, we offer scholarships for health science majors to two graduating seniors from John Muir High School in Pasadena, California.

These scholarships for medical students go to one male and one female who have shown strong grades, leadership, and a clear goal of working in Cardiology or Pulmonology.

These college scholarships for health majors are part of our goal to support students of color who are planning careers in medicine.

As one of the few medical school scholarships California students can apply for with this focus, our program stands out by encouraging future doctors who care about heart and lung health.

We also offer scholarships for asthma research and scholarships for pulmonary students.

These help students who want to study and treat lung conditions like asthma, and improve care for people with breathing issues.
